Looking for Music’s Rock Star Contest
This contest offers the winning singer, rapper, or music group a live performance, photo shoot, music video and recording package that includes a music industry standard level of production.
The winning artist/music group will have submitted the music video that receives the most votes in our contest. Video submissions for competing are due at the strike of midnight on Monday, APRIL 18th, 2022 11:59 pm (PST).
We’re gonna name 1 ROCK STAR.
Grand Prize:
The chosen ROCK STAR will be asked to co-headline the next ITD Sessions to be held on July 16, 2022 in Los Angeles.
ITD Sessions features the best indie & newly signed musicians in all music genres Los Angeles has to offer. ITD Sessions is an invite only event. Invitees are industry tastemakers who work in music publishing, performing rights, management, entertainment law, music production, radio & labels, among other talented professionals.
The ROCK STAR will be awarded a recording session at a Hollywood recording studio to record their next single. Includes production, mixing & mastering (rules apply).
The ROCK STAR will be awarded an industry standard music video for the recorded single (rules apply).
The ROCK STAR will be awarded an industry standard photoshoot (rules apply).
THE RULES ARE SIMPLE:
Contest is open to singers, rappers and music groups of all genres over the age of 16.
By submitting your music video, artist agrees to all the terms of this contest.
Artists may submit only 1 music video.
Video submissions may feature only original content/music owned by the artist.
InsideTheDrop.com will not knowingly host unlicensed content for this contest.
InsideTheDrop will remove unlicensed content when notified or determined, and will ban the submitting artist(s) from further participation.
Grand Prize winner of this contest will be the artist or groups that submitted the music video that receives the most votes by WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1ST, 2022, 11:59:59pm (PST) and that has adhered to all the terms of this contest.
Video submissions must adhere to commonly accepted standards of good taste by the general public. Must not include hate speech & violence towards any person or groups.
This is a worldwide talent search - open to artists anywhere in the world. However, travel expenses will not be a part of prize winnings.
Artists retain the rights to their submitted work(s).
Any contestant or video submission violating the terms of this contest will be disqualified and deleted by InsideTheDrop - with no recourse by the artist(s).
Winning this contest will be contingent upon the contestant(s) adhering to all conditions of this contest. Violations will eliminate the winner; without recourse.
Grand Prize winner(s) must sign a “One Off” Artist Engagement Agreement (void of any Riders), guaranteeing their appearance at the SUMMER, 2022 ITD Sessions to be held in Southern California, before their name, image or likeness will be added to any marketing or advertising campaign regarding any events relating to the contest AND event.
Any violations will result in awarding the Grand Prize to the artist(s) of the music video that has the next-highest number of votes in this contest.
STEP 1: CREATE YOUR VIDEO
Create a video or use a current video that reflects your unique style (cell phone filming is okay).
STEP 2: UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO TO YOUTUBE
Upload your video to your YouTube channel.
STEP 3: REGISTER FOR OUR CONTEST
By submitting your link, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of this contest. Submission Deadline is Monday, APRIL 18, 2022.
Email the link of your video to: ROCKSTAR@INSIDETHEDROP.COM
STEP 4: IF YOUR VIDEO IS ACCEPTED, WE WILL EMAIL YOU A CONFIRMATION
Then you will need to send the actual video via a file sharing service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or Hightail.
We will NOT upload links from other sites or YouTube channels to our website’s contest page.
STEP 5: SHARE YOUR VIDEO WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW
Now it is up to you to gather the most votes as possible for your video. Share with all of your social media friends that the winning ROCK STAR will be awarded an industry standard music video for the recorded single (rules apply) based on contest participation. Get as many people to watch at InsideTheDrop.com and vote for your video between now and the end of the contest!
STEP 6: GET THE MOST VOTES TO WIN!
The video with the most votes on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1ST, 2022, 11:59 pm (PST) will win the Grand Prize! InsideTheDrop will officially announce the winning video on https://insidethedrop.com/blogs/news on FRIDAY, JUNE 3RD, 2022, 8:00 pm (PST). InsideTheDrop will also notify the winner(s) by email via the address provided during registration. The ROCK STAR will be awarded an industry standard music video for the recorded single (rules apply).
* Video submission(s) must NOT contain material which is (or promote activities which are) violent, self-mutilating, discriminatory, hate speech (e.g., underage drinking, substance abuse, etc.), offensive, threatening, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous, libelous, profane, harassing or material that contains any derogatory references to InsideTheDrop,com or any of its business partners, key persons or employees.
Timeline for this contest:
All entries must be in by Monday, APRIL 18TH, 2022, 11:59 PM (PST).
Entrants will receive an email confirmation if accepted to contest by FRIDAY, APRIL 22ND, 11:59 pm (PST).
Accepted Entrants must email video file by WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15TH, 11:59 pm (PST) to: RockStar@InsideTheDrop.com
Voting begins Monday, MAY 2ND, 2022, 12:01 am (PST).
